In His Steps

This scene has been recurring in my mind for the past few days so I thought I would capture it better if I were to draw it down. While drawing, I was conflicted as I was not sure whether the Lord is walking ahead or beside me. I was having thoughts like "If the Lord walks before me and prepares the way for me, then is He not by my side?" And if the Lord is beside me, then is He not walking ahead to prepare the way?"

I found myself seeking answers from God for my unsettled heart. Behold, my eyes were opened as I look to His Word.

“And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed."

Deuteronomy 31:8

The scripture above clearly says that He is indeed before me, besides me and also in me. And so it shall be.

Therefore, do not be fearful. He goes before you to prepare the way. You may be facing problems in your life right now, feeling like you are drowning in the vast ocean, tired and thirsty in the parched desert, or even blind and feeling your way around in the dark valley. Be comforted in knowing that He has promised in His Word that He has gone ahead of you. He is with you and He will never leave nor forsake you. You are not alone. Be bold and courageous, for He is with you and in you.
